Auto-start BIOS feature

Ensure you have this feature set up to ensure MDM will start up if anything goes wrong with the computer such as a power cut.

Turn on the device and find setup mode

  1. Turn on the device

  2. Quickly, before Windows opens you will see a BIOS start screen

  3. Press DEL or F2 to open the main BIOS settings

Find Power Management Configuration

  1. From the main BIOS screen, go to Advanced. Press the > right arrow key

  2. Select Power Management Configuration Window, press enter

Turn on start when plugged in

  1. Usually, this is called Power-On after Power-Fail

  2. Select this option, press enter to open up the dialog.

  3. Select power on.

Save changes before exiting

  1. Navigation the last tab called Exit

  2. Click Save Changes and Exit

  3. The device will now boot Windows as normal.

Testing auto-start

  1. Once Windows has loaded as normal, unplug the device.

  2. Wait a few seconds, plug the device back in.

  3. Now the device should turn on when power is detected.

  4. Congratulations, the auto-start feature is now working.

If you have to manually turn on the power button then this feature has not been set up correctly. Please contact support.
